I can't believe what you wrote on that day we said good bye
Sure you can say I'm in denial now, but it sounded to me all like lies
You told me you were going back to him, in fact things were great
How many times are you going to do this to yourself?

Tell me you want to be on your own or you found somebody new
Tell me anything at all, except what you say you're going to do
Maybe this will be different this time or again time will end the same
Maybe its like you always said, your baby's got his name
So I sit here now not understanding but it's not for me to see
I guess you have to do what you want to do, do it away from me
Friends ask me if it makes sense, I can't say it does right now
