Still there

The air is stirring yet the clouds are still
The sky is dark with the sunrise coming near
My mind is focused but scattered just the same
Your face creates joy, your name causes pain

Your part of a world I held but you it let go of me
Time was always my friend yet now maybe an enemy
You held the answer but never knowing my question at all
You were always there but let me walk away when I started to fall

So I see you’re happy and I was too
You made me think then and now think what to do
I have to keep looking forward and also to the side
I have to say hello to the future and forget I said goodbye

You’ll never know how you crushed  and also made me grow
You’ll never know I was scared but to proud to let it show
So today I’ll keep in the darkness, my mind focused and clear
I’ll look for the answers that I know, I know are somehow still there
