I had a date tonight, I guess I needed to go out and laugh
I needed new friends, new things to do
But I also needed to forget, not remember the past

Then her next words were "you know you can do better"
"She never treated you right"
Then why did that hit so hard listening to it

Later that night we drove back to my place
Pulling up in the drive I knew this couldn't be
She reached over and grabbed my hand and said
"I'll leave; you'd rather be with her than me!"

I didn't know what to say to her
The words that she spoke to me I knew in my heart were true
So I said goodnight and went inside
Putting back all you pictures, with each one, I know... I know I'm still in love with you
